මහ රජ්ජුරුවන් වහන්සේගේ අනඥාවනුකූලව අලහප්පෙරුම නිලමේ තුමා, වීරවංස නිලමේ තුමා හා යාපා නිලමේ තුමා මාර්ගයෙන් හුදීජන බලු ගැත්තන්ට කරනු ලබන ආරඤ්චියයි. ලොකු ඕනෑකමකට පුරාණ රථචක්ර (පරණ ටයර්) තොගයක් මහ රජවාසලට ඕනෑය. මෙව්වා රජවාසලට ඇන්න එන හුදී ජනයින්ට පඬුරු පාක්කුඩම්ද රජවාසලේ මුළුතැන්ගෙයින් කට්ට කරවල හොදි, තම්පලා මැල්ලුම් සමඟ හීල්බත් ගෙඩියක්ද ලැබෙනවා ඇත.

The Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) has begun an investigation over an incident where a man was “forced” to drown in Bambalapitiya this morning in front of several onlookers.
Police spokesman senior DIG Nimal Madiwaka said that the victim was believed to be mentally retarded and used to throw stones towards trains and vehicles passing by.
Earlier today the victim had reportedly thrown stones towards the Bambalapitiya police before jumping into the sea and drowning, the police spokesman quoted the Bambalapitiya police as saying.
However shocking television footage taken by a cameraman from his television office showed men attempting to beat the victim using sticks and preventing him from coming ashore resulting in his death by drowning.
The police spokesman said that with the airing of the footage the CCD was asked to take over the probe on the incident. The probe will include possible police involvement in the incident. Navy divers meanwhile are looking for the body of the victim, the police spokesman added. (SD)………….

මෙම සිදුවීම TNL රූපවාහිනී සේවයෙන් වීඩියෝ ගත කර ඇති අතර, මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් විධිමත් පරීක්ෂණයක් කරන බව පොලිස් මාධ්ය ප්රකාශක ජ්යෙෂ්ඨ නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පති නිමල් මැදිවක මහතා පවසා ඇත. ඒ මහතා පවසන්නේ මොහුගේ පහරදීමෙන් දුම්රියට, වාහනවලට හා මගීන් ගණනාවකට තුවාල සිදුවී ඇති බවයි.

මෙසේ මියගිය පුද්ගලයා පැයකට අධික කාලයක් තිස්සේ මුහුදු වෙරළට ඒමට උත්සාහ ගත්ත ද පොලු අතින්ගත් පිරිසක් එම පුද්ගලයාට පහරදෙමින් ගොඩට ඒමට ඉඩ ලබාදී නැතැයි ප්රදේශවාසීහු පවසති.
මෙම සිද්ධිය වන අවස්ථාවේදී බම්බලපිටිය පොලිසියේ නිලධාරීන් ද එම ස්ථානයේ සිට ඇතැයි ද මෙම පුද්ගලයාට පහරදී මරා දමනතුරු පොලිසිය නිහඬව සිටියේ මන්දැයි යන්න පිළිබඳව වෙනම පරීක්ෂණයක් කරන බව ද ජ්යෙෂ්ඨ පොලිස් අධිකාරි පාලිත සිරිවර්ධන මහතා “දිවයින”ට පැවසීය.
මෙම සිද්ධිය පිළිබඳව ටී. එන්. එල්. රූපවාහිනියේ කැමරාකරුවකු මෙම තරුණයාට පිරිස පහරදෙන අයුරුත් පසුව මරා දමා ඇති අයුරුත් වීඩියෝ ගතකර තිබේ.

මෙසේ පොලු පහර කා මියගොස් ඇත්තේ රත්මලාන පදිංචිව සිටි බී. සිවකුමාරන් නමැති විසිහය හැවිරිදි ද්රවිඩ පුද්ගලයකු බවට හඳුනාගෙන ඇතැයි පොලිස් මාධ්ය ප්රකාශක ජ්යෙෂ්ඨ නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පති නිමල් මැදිවක මහතා “දිවයින”ට පැවැසීය.
සේවා කාලය හා කුසලතා මත පොලිස් කොස්තාපල්වරුන් (720) දෙනෙකුට ඔක්( 28 වැනිදා උසස්වීම් ලබාදී ඇත.
