කවරක් මැය කොට ගත්තද පසුගිය මාස කිහිපය මුළුල්ලේ ලේඛකයා විසින් යත්නයෙන්ම අත්හළ මාතෘකාවක් වූයේ ස්වකීය වෘත්තීය ජීවිතය හා සබැඳි සිද්ධීන්ය. ඊට හේතුව බොහෝ කාලයකට ඉහත පීඨාධිපතිවරයකු විසින් ‘ඇතුළත ගිනි පිටතට නොදෙන්නැ’යි දෙනු ලැබූ උවදෙසකි. එහෙත් පසුගිය සතියේ දවසක, මූසල උදෑසනක, දරුණු වැසි සහිත කාලගුණය විසින් පාළු කාමරයක හුදකලා කොට තිබියදී සගයකු විසින් පුරසාරම් මුඛයෙන් ප්රකාශිත මේ ලිංගික අත්දැකීම සිරකොට තැබීම කුහක කමකැයි ඔහුට සිතුණේය.
විශ්වවිද්යාල ආචාර්යවරුන් යනු වෙනස් මැටියෙකින් නිර්මිත මිනිසුන් කොට්ඨාශයක් නොවෙති. ඔවුහුද ලෙයින් මසින් සැදි, මේ ගෙන්දගම් පොළොවේ පය ගසා නැඟී සිටීමට වෙරදරන පෘතග්ජන මනුෂ්යයෝය. සරත් විජේසූරිය මහැදුරුතුමන්ගේ ‘මගේ නඩුව ඉවරයි’ නවකතාවෙන් පිළිඹිබු කෙරෙන ලෙසින්ම පටු හැඟීම්වලින් පාලනය කරනු ලබන්නෝය; අපාය සහායකයෝය; කලාතුරෙකින් යහපත් මිනිස්හුය. උපකල්පිත උගත්කම විසින් ඔවුන් අනෙකුන්ගෙන් වෙනස් කරනු ලබන්නේය සිතීම හිතළුවකි.
මගේ වෘත්තීය සගයා වයස තිහකට මඳක් වැඩි විය හැකි කථිකාචාර්යවරයෙකි. විවාපත් වී වසර තුනක් හෝ හතරක් විය හැකිය. දරුඵල ලබා නැත්තේය. දැනට මාස කිහිපයක සිට, රජයේ ආයතනයක සේවය කරන ඔහුගේ බිරිඳ පුහුණුවක් සඳහා එතෙර ගොසිණි. මේ ඉසඹුව කම් සැප ඉල්ලා හඬන තම යව්වන සිරුර සංතෘප්තිමත් කිරීම සඳහා සුදුසු නිදහසට කාරණයකැයි ඔහු කල්පනා කරයි. බොහෝ විට සිදුවන පරිදි ඔහුගේ ගොදුර නවයොවුන් සරසවි දියණියකි.
දඩයක්කාරයා තමාම නොවන බවත්, තමා විසින් කරන ලද්දේ අනෙකෙකුගේ දඩයමින් කොටහක් ඩැහැ ගැනීම පමණක් බවත් ඔහු කියයි.
“දන්නවද කවුද සෙට් කළේ කියල. ඩොක්ටර් …… මිනිහ ඒකිට උගන්නන්නේ ස්ටැටිස්ටික්ස් විතරක්ම නෙවෙන පාටයි.”
මේ දැනට මැදිවිය පසුකරමින් ඉන්නා, කලෙක ලේඛකයාගේද ගුරුවරයකු වූ, දැන් තට්ටය පෑදුනු ජ්යෙෂ්ට ආචාර්යවරයෙකි. එකල අපි ඔහුට Student කීමු. අනෙකුන්ට මෙන් වලහා, බූරුවා, තට්ටයා නොකියා ගෞරවාන්විත නාමයක් දුන්නේ ඔහු ඊට නිසි වූ නිසාය. Student Distribution හඳුන්නා දුන් කිසිදා තම නමින් පළ නොකළ පර්යේෂකයා තරමටම සීතලයකු වූ නිසාය. ඩොක්ටර් …… නරක මිනිසෙකැයි මම නොසිතමි. නමුත් තනතුරුවලට, ගෙවල්වලට, යානවාහනයන්ට ලොබ බැඳ ලොක්කන්ගේ දියණියන් කරකාරයට ගන්නා අහිංසකයන්ට ජීවිතය පුරා තම අඹුවන්ගේ සිරකරුවන් බවට පත්වනු මම දැක ඇත්තෙමි. ඩොක්ටර් …… තම සිර මැදුරෙන් පිටත නැවුම් පිච්ච මල් සුවඳක් සොයනවා විය යුතුය.
පාඨකයින් අපේක්ෂා භංගත්වයට පත්විය හැකි මුත් සගයාගේ ලිංගික අත්දැකීම පියවරින් පියවර විස්තර කිරීම අනුචිත යැයි ලේඛකයාගේ කල්පනාවය. ඒ ඔහු අශෝක හඳගම නොවන නිසාය. සිද්ධිය වූ දිනය හෝ වේලාව වැදගත් නොවතුදු ස්ථානය වැදගත්ය. ඒ මා කලින් කී ඩොක්ටර්……ගේ නිල කාමරයය.
ජ්යෙෂ්ට ආචාර්යවරයා විසින් “සර්ව හොඳට බලාගන්න” කියා සිය නිල කුටියෙහි තනි කරනු ලැබීමෙන් පසුව, ගම කොහේද, ඉගෙන ගන්නේ මොනවාද, සරසවිය ගැන ඈ සිතන්නේ කුමක්ද වැනි කෙටි පිළිසඳර ප්රශ්න කිහිපයකින් පසුව, ඇයම පුරුදුකාරියක ලෙසින් ලිංගික අභ්යාසයට අවතීර්ණ වූ බව මගේ සගයා විස්තර කරන්නේ ස්ටැන්ලි කුබ්රික්ගේ සිතුවම්පටයකටත් වඩා සජීවී ආකාරයෙනි.
“මාර බඩුවක්. ඒකිට කිසි ගාණක් නෑ බං. කියන්නත් කලින් බ්ලව්ස් එක ගලවන්න යනකොට මුලින්ම මම නැවැත්තුවා. මෙන්න විනාඩි පහකට පස්සෙ එක පාරටම ඔක්කොම ගලවනවා ඒකිම කිසි ගාණක් නැතුව…”
කාමයෙන් අන්ධ වූ මා සගයා නොදකින පසුතලය මම දකිමි. මේ කටයුත්ත වින්දනයක් වන්නේ ඔහුට මිස ඇයට නොවේ. ඇගේ අභිප්රාය හැකි ඉක්මණින් එක දාගෙන, කළ යුතු නිසාම කරන මේ අප්රසන්න කාරිය අහවර කිරීමය. තම ලිංගික සහකරුවාට ඇඳුම් එකින් එක, කටයුත්තේ තෘප්තිය ඉහළින්ම විඳිමින්, ගලවන්නට ඉඩ දීම නිකරුණේ කාලය වැය කිරීමකි. ස්වේච්ඡාවෙන්ම ඈ ඊට ඉදිරිපත්වන්නේ එනිසාය.
“ඇඳල ඇඳල හමගිය, ඉරිච්චි බ්රා එකක් ඇඳගෙන හිටියෙ. මුනුත් අපි ඒ දවස් වල ඇන්ද වගේ තමා තාම අඳින්නෙ…”
“කෙල්ල ලස්සනද?” මා අසන්නේ “කෙල්ල දුප්පත්ද?” අසන්නට බැරි නිසාය.
“අනර්කලී තරම් නෑ. මේ බදුල්ල පැත්තෙ බෝගොඩ පාලම දිහාවෙ පිටිසර ගමක එකියක්නෙ. මූණ නං ගන්ඩ දෙයක් නෑ. ඒත් ඇඟ ලස්සනයි. කළුයි. කෙට්ටුයි. ගැට දොඩම් ගෙඩි දෙකක් තරම් වත් නෑ. නියම ගාන.”
මේ ගම්බද කෙල්ලන් හැම එකියක්ම නොවැඩුණු කෙසඟ සිරුරකට හිමිකම් කියන්නේ මන්දැයි මා සගයා නොදන්නවා විය යුතුය. ගමේ කෙල්ලන් සේම කොල්ලෝද කුඩා කළ නිසි අහරක් නැතිව මන්ද පෝෂණයට ලක් වූවෝය. දරුවන් හයක් හතක් ඉන්නා, දෙමාපියන්ට එක වේලකටවත් පෝෂ්යදායී ආහාරයක් නැති පවුල්වල උපත ලබන මොවුන්ගේ මන්දපෝෂණය පටන්ගන්නේ ළදරුවියේදී මව්කිරක් කියා දෙයක් නොලැබීමටත් පෙරාතුව, මව්කුසේදීමය. වැඩිවිය පත්වන කල පිඟානට බෙදෙන කොස් පොළොස් මැල්ලුම්වල, බත්, කිරි, බිත්තර, මස්, මාළු වල ඇති පෝෂ්ය ගුණය නැත. කුඩා කල සිට නගරයේ හැදී වැඩී කලාතුරෙකින් විනෝදගමනකට පමණක් කොළඹින් පිටට යන මා සගයා සිතනු ඇත්තේ උන් මේ කෙසඟ සිරුරු තනා ගන්නේ ඕනෑකමින් රූප ලාවන්ය උපදෙස් මත ඩයට් කර, සිය පිය බිරිය කරන ආකාරයට සිරුර සකසා ගන්නා උපක්රම අනුගමනය කිරීම නිසා කියා විය යුතුය.
සගයා සිසුවියගේ නම මට නොකියන්නට පරෙස්සම් වෙයි. ඇය මගේද සිසුවියක් විය හැකි නිසාය සිතමි. එහෙත් ගමේ විස්තර ඔහු නොදැනුවත්වම ලිස්සූ නිසා අවශ්ය නම් මට ලෙහෙසියෙන් ඇය වෙන්කොට ගත හැකිය. මම ඊට නොවෙහෙසෙමි. ශිෂ්යාවන් සමඟ මගේ ඇති සබඳතාවය වෙනස්ය. මම “හදන්න බැරි ගණන් අහගන්නට” ඔවුන්ට කාමරයට එන්නට නොකියමි. පැවරුම් අප්රසිද්ධියේ නොව ප්රසිද්ධියේ අගයමි.
සගයාගේ එකම දුක් ගැනවිල්ල ලිංගික අත්දැකීම පූර්ණත්වයට පත් කර ගැනීමට බැරිවීම ගැනය. ඒ ඇගේ අකැමැත්තක් නිසා නොව ඔහු වෙත කොන්ඩෝමයක් නොතිබුණු හෙයිනි. “ඒත් අවුලක් නෑ. ඩොක්ටර්…… කිව්ව ඕනැ වෙලාවක කියන්න කියල…”
මේ සිද්ධිය බ්ලොගයේ ඇතුළත් කරන්නට වැඩියත්ම මා පෙළඹවූයේ ඉන්පසු ඔහු කියූ දෙයයි.
“මට ඒකි ගැන පව් කියල හිතුන මචං. කීයක් හරි දෙන්න කියල හිතාගෙන හිටියෙ. ඒත් මං වොෂ් එකක් දාගෙන එනකොට ඒකි ගිහින්. මම ඩොක්ටර්……ට රුපියල් දෙදාහක් දීල ආව දෙන්න කියල. ඩොක්ටර් …… නම් කිව්ව ඕනැත් නෑ කියල…”
දැවැන්ත දැනුම් සම්භාරයක්, රැකියාවක් ලබා ගත හැකි උපාධි සහතිකයක් ලබාගන්නට ගමේ සිට එන යුවතියන් නැණවතුන්ට, විද්යාර්ථින්ට කෙම් බිමක් වේය කියනු ලබන මේ පරිසරය තුළ කෙතෙක් දරුණු ලෙස සූරාකෑමට ලක්වන්නේද යන්න වටහා ගැන්ම සඳහා මේ කියමන ප්රමාණවත්ය සිතමි. ඇගේ ලිංගික පහසෙහි මිළ කණිෂ්ඨ ගුරුවරයකුට රුපියල් දෙදහසකි. ඒද “පව් කියලා හිතෙන” නිසාය. ඇයගේම ජ්යෙෂ්ට ගුරුවරයා ඊට මිළක් ගෙවීම පවා අවශ්ය නැති ආකාරයේ සිම්පල් දෙයක් බව සිතයි. මෙය මාක්ස් විසින් වත් අර්ථ නොදක්වන ලද ආකාරයේ, වැඩවසම් යුගයේ මිස පූර්ව ධනවාදී යුගයේවත් සිදුවිය නොහැකි ආකාරයක නින්දනීය කුරිරු සූරාකෑමකි. (මේ ලේඛකයා ඇසූ පළමු සිදුවීම නොවේ. නමුත් මින් පෙර මෙවැනි සිද්ධීන් ඔහු අසා තිබුණේ වැඩිකොටම ශිෂ්යයකු හැටියට හෝ තෙවන පාර්ශවයක මුවිනි. දඩයම්කරුවාගෙන්ම මේ තරම් විස්තර ඇතිව ඇසූ පළමු වතාවයි මේ.)
මම මේ සිසුවියගේ දෙනෙතින් ලොව දකින්නට උත්සාහ කරමි. ඇය මේ ක්රියාවෙහි යෙදෙන්නේ කැමැත්තකින් නොවිය හැකිය. තම මිතුරියන් සේම ඇයද එක පිරිමියකු තෝරාගෙන ඔහු සමඟ හන්තාන කඳු මුදුනේ පැලක් අටවන දිනය ගැන සිහින මවන්නට ආසා කරනවා විය යුතුය. එහෙත් මා නොදන්නා කවර හෝ හේතුවක් නිසා ඇයට මේ කාලකණ්නි ජීවිතය ගත කරන්නට සිදුව ඇත. ඩොක්ටර් …… ඇයට මුදලින් ආධාර කරනවා විය හැකිය. පුංචි කටවල් හතර පහකට බත් කටක් දෙකක් සඳහා මාස්පතා යවන්නට මුදලක් දෙනවා විය හැකිය. නැතිනම් පියකු නැති අඩුව සපුරනවා විය හැකිය. කවරක් කළද ඔහු ඇගෙන් පෙරළා අපේක්ෂා කරන දෑ කවර සමාජයක සදාචාරයට වුව අනුකූල විය නොහැකිය.
මම ජීවිතය තේරුම් ගන්නට උත්සාහ නොකරමි. එබැවින් මේ තවත් අසම්පූර්ණ සටහනක නිමාවය.

I don’t know what to say. This story broke my heart. What a pathetic world, we are living in? Thank you for exposing another ugly side of our society. I have heard many sexual exploitation stories happened to our poor women in middle-east, but never knew it was happening right under our nose.
Let any heartless buffoon to come up with a conspiracy theory for this, but we need to expose this sort of injustice. That is the least we can do.

(f) I do a job (very selfish, but I have learnt when to be selfish)

a) You don’t have to know the name let the police/media reporters worry about that- you said that you can round up them using the location that will be more than enough
b,c,d) You don’t have to know them too do your job as a honest citizen, i’m sure she did not select this coz she want to have some fun
e) If he made it up he has a serious problem and he needs help !
f) We are all doing our job, be different; IN A GOOD WAY !

I do not see any thing wrong here……. as she is an adult. In developed western countries, government does no probe in to what’s going on in peoples bed rooms. ( or office rooms). But according to the Sri Lankan Law she could be easily defined as a “prostitute “ as she had gone on her own free will to another mans room, to provide him with services of sex.
But if she walks to a Hotel and correctly identifies her self to the reception, they can have sex as – having sex is not a crime in the eyes of law. ( no law has been broken here).
Our marriage system and morel education has limited the mixing of chromosomes ( DNA & Jeans) to one sexual partner defined by society. This is further controlled by cast system, and wealth distribution system.
To have a good development of human characteristics , its very good to have many combinations as possible. This was the main reasons old kings had their harems. To promote their strong, dominating good characteristics to the society.( In time of war). This is also known as SELECTIVE BREEDING.

Not only he tries to justify this but tries to dwelve upon something where he has no knowledge of. whilst respecting his Eruditeness usually shown in other areas ,I will show the correct stance with the help of my small knowledge of law. Legally, even if you have sex at home or a hotel, if the other partner is not your married man/woman then anyone is liable to be brought under the law as per our legal system. this is worse when that ‘other’ person is married to some one else and then it becomes adultary .
even the comination are considered when mixed with complete diverse races such as cokasians with europians, africans with europians and so on to mix with totally different races to have very powerful genes and not to copulate as he potrays with your own clan/people. but I admit that this habit of appreciating other women (who do not belong to you) and copulating with them has been there among us from that dim and distant date.

I say you are totally wrong in understanding this situation. Having sex between two grown up adults in not considered a crime, under the Sri Lankan Law. This girl we are talking is not married a Campus girl, and she has the right to take decisions for herself.
If you want a practical example, ( of a married women) a superb legal brain , kept a poor engineers wife , as his partner inside his house, ( up to date) as the former husband refused to give the divorce.( see there is no problem).
In developed countries, people are given more freedom to enter in to marriage contracts , or nullify them. Let the individuals CONCERNED decide what is good for them.
( If you read and understand what is meant by “ Kamesu Mitchachara “ this questions will not arise). In Buddhism ( 550 Jathakaya) they talk about a “ Nagara Shobini’ (or a Prostitute in our words), who, observed “ Pancil. “ ( KURU DHARMA) and was faithful to people who paid her. She was much respected by the ruling King and by the Brahamins of other towns as well.( also by the Sakra Deviyo). THIS GOOD BOOK defines that Prostitution is a short term Civil Contract and a Marriage is a long term Civil contract. ( depending on the law of the Land).

If you are interested in case studies one Police Inspector of Ramalana division was fined by a magistrate ( Rs 10,000) for arresting an unmarried man and a women who was found inside a hotel room (in 1999). (Precedent )
I only said basics, and what is written down by others. One judges other according to him self. You must be feeling I am “ Siyalla Dath” because your knowledge is very very limited. ( Remember the story of THE SMALL frog who thought his mother was the biggest ANIMAL in the entire world).

In Sri Lanka there are many professionals in the Legal field, the highest would be Judges, then comes the lawyers, and the Police. There are also another set of professionals in the legal field( or with in the legal field) Known as con artists or the Prisoners who have been jailed.

Once I saw a Lady Professional caught in the harsh net of the Legal field, at Athuth Kade Magistrate courts. She was a prostitute waiting to be fined, by the Magistrate.

There were some hints about such behaviour in Mage Naduwa Ivarai by Sarath but I thought they were all about flirting.
I was an undergraduate at Peradeniya for four years (81-85) and a lecturer at Kelaniya for five years (91-95) but never heard anything of this nature at all.
Why should a female student do this – for money? Academic favours? Or just sexual pleasure?

Definitely these types of things were happening at University of Colombo in 90’s.
Like taboo said they might be doing it for money. But my opinion is they are doing it for academic favours. If they are doing it for sexual pleasure they can always find a boy friend or sexual partner as the case may be among students rather than going behind married lecturers.

Been a student + lecturer , I am surprised to hear that you don’t know these kind of things happening in SL universities. In fact girls are in to lectures purely for better results but not for money or sexual enjoyment. ( if they need money or sex, they can go out of the universities , no need to go behind old lectures mostly not that much rich). With my experience in university ( Japura) ,there are many like this.Will tell you one. There was a old lecturer in the art department who is a well famous artist ( geya pada rachakayek saha a famous film director) in the country , who used to keep a girl student in all the batches for his sexual relationships. This is a well famous among many in the art faculty ( also in the other faculties) and I personally know one girl used to go even to his house ( he is still a bachelor, but now sixty+) and she is very proud to say that I was with S—- sir Yesterday etc….As mentioned this sir ( prof) is well famous artist, who has written many songs , directed films and all of us are respecting him. Due to his PR in the country no outsider ( to Japura campus) will believe this ( danno danithi).So girls go behind these kinds of old profs purely to get good exam results and also they think it’s a proud for them to sleep with him.(them). The girl I said was not that smart and however finaly she got a 1st class and now a lecturer in the same faculty.

I heard similar stories when I went to colombo uni, all though I didn’t know anybody personally who was a victim. The folks who told me these stories were unable to tell who the prof or the victim was either. Maybe they just heard them from other 3rd parties.
This is not to say that these things don’t happen. As many others pointed out, there are many opportunities for this to happen and under the right conditions many fall for the temptation.

By attending a Sri Lankan university and also teaching in one, and in my research, I have more info than you “guys” about young SL women and their sexual experiences.
